Overview

Located conveniently in Shah Alam’s Taman TTDI Jaya, Shaaz Curry House presents a compelling blend of traditional Malay and Mamak flavors in a clean, inviting setting. This restaurant serves as a welcoming destination for those seeking authentic Malaysian cuisine elevated with attention to detail. Its location at 1, Jalan Opera F U2/F makes it easily accessible for locals and visitors alike, promising a memorable dining experience in a well-maintained space.

The menu highlights reflect a thoughtful curation of classic dishes such as Roti Canai Telur Cili Bawang, Tosai, Briyani Rice, and Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng, which are prepared with finesse that honors Malaysian culinary heritage. Signature items like the Rojak Pasumbur—combining an assortment of kuih, fresh cucumber, egg, and squid with a rich peanut sauce—showcase the kitchen’s skill in balancing textures and flavors. The Mee Berkuah varieties, including Mee Rebus Muar and Mee Laksa Pinang, offer nuanced layers of broth infused with fresh ingredients, adding depth to the dining experience.

Shaaz Curry House caters to a diverse clientele, from solo diners enjoying a Roti Canai with teh tarik to families relishing a spread of Nasi Campur and Briyani. The restaurant skillfully blends the simplicity of Mamak fare with refined Malay cooking, appealing to those who appreciate authentic tastes without compromise. This versatility extends to its atmosphere—spacious, well-kept, and somewhat upscale compared to typical mamak stalls—making it suitable for casual meals, family lunches, or a quick flavorful bite.

Customer feedback consistently highlights the flavorful gravies and fresh ingredients, though some note slight inconsistencies in pricing and the occasional need for improvement in certain sauces, such as kuah campur. The restaurant’s strength lies in its iconic dishes like Briyani served with rich chicken gravy and its authentic drinks—teh tarik and kopi tarik—that capture the essence of Malaysian beverage culture.

Staff service is reported to be friendly and efficient, enhancing the overall dining atmosphere. While pricing is slightly above average for typical mamak establishments, many find value in the quality and freshness of the food. Shaaz Curry House strikes a balance between traditional tastes and an elevated dining environment, making it a recommended spot for those craving genuine Malaysian flavors in a welcoming and clean venue.

Weekend Lunch 4.5/5.0 Plate 1 White Rice with Kurma Fried Chicken Cabbage ???? Plate 2 White Rice & Kuah Campur Fried Chicken Long Beans Stir Fry ???? Plate 3 Briyani Rice with Chicken Gravy Fried Kingfish Cabbage ???? Boiled Egg Sambal October 2022 Price is slightly high than an average Nasi Kandar shop, but the food is tasty. Each time we repeat visit, each and every time the price varies. Not sure how they charge the items taken. Other goreng-goreng items, roti canai varieties, thosai varieties and etc are all superb. Teh Tarik and Kopi Tarik here super authentic, the Malaysian style. Gravy super delicious but kuah campur skill need to improve. Shop is hygiene. Staffs are ok. Wide choice of Nasi Kandar dishes and Masakan Melayu dishes.

Lunch menu got Malay cuisine and also Mamak tipical cuisine. Taste is good, but this mamak is not suitable students. Price for teh tarik is 30-40 cents more than normal mamak, and no power plug. And dont eat their nasi campur starting from 12AM till 6AM, the food is old and not good, so better order masakan panas instead of nasi campur. Drinks is good btw. The table and restaurant environment is good and quite classy compared to mamak biasa.

If you're looking for the definitive start to your day, this is my absolute favourite breakfast spot—and soon to be yours! . They serve up all the heavy-hitters you crave: the flaky, buttery perfection of Roti Canai, the herbaceous, comforting warmth of Lontong, and the fragrant, spicy perfection of their classic Nasi Lemak. Seriously, the scent of the sambal alone is enough to drag you out of bed! Hang around a little later, and you can grab their incredible Nasi Kandar—a perfect second breakfast or early lunch treat! Plus, they even solved the biggest morning headache: parking! There are ample parking spaces available, making your breakfast run totally stress-free.
